Tactical
Emergency Medical Support Rescue Training Inc
along with Trinity Training &
Consulting Inc. provides professional "Tactical Medic" training to
professional medics. This "Tactical Emergency Medical Support" (TEMS)
program is conducted by practicing physicians, tactical paramedics,
SWAT members, law enforcement trainers, special forces medics,
medical educators, and other experts in tactical medicine.
The 54 hour course is conducted over a five day period. The program
is constantly being revised and up-dated to deliver the latest
tactical and medical practices for military personnel including the
latest medical standards as established by the Committee on
Tactical
Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) The RTI /TTC team is mobile and willing
to bring the course to your location or you can come to our
facilities. This is an intense classroom and field-training program
designed for the medic that provides emergency medical care and
support to enforcement/tactical teams.

The Course content includes: Types of missions, TOMS, medical
threat assessment, medical pre-planning, medical aspects of specific
operations, light discipline, tactical combat casualty care,
assessment and remote assessment methodology, equipment selection,
special medical gear for tactical operations, hostage survival,
airway, hemorrhage control, suture and local anesthesia lecture,
fluid resuscitation, IV’s, IO’s, chest wounds, needle thoracentesis,
immediate reaction teams, officer rescue, movement, stealth, suspect
control & extraction under fire, sensory deprivation, assess &
control hemorrhage, ambulatory sick call, preventative medicine,
extended operations, foot disease, cold stress, food handling,
work/rest cycles, critical incident stress, heat stress, hydration,
veterinary medicine(K-9 down), sports medicine, dive medicine, water
survival, water rescue, land navigation and stealth night operations
across the barricade, ballistics, forensics, medical effects of less
lethal weapons, dental injuries in the field, HazMat in a tactical
environment, personal protective equipment, field expedient
decontamination, chemical agent exposure and much more.
The course consist of lectures, tactical scenarios, practical
exercises, and written examination. In addition, the 5-day course
culminates with an extensive field training exercise where the
student is able to integrate the learned concepts into tactical
maneuvers. This allows the student to demonstrate proficiency of all
aspects of TEMS during simulated environments.
Our
clients include the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Army Rangers, 7th
Calvary, 82nd Airborne, 501 Airborne, several Nat'l Guard units,
Pentagon Police, Marine Security Force, U.S. Coast Guard, and
several SWAT / police, fire, and EMS agencies, and most recently,
the Artic Warriors of the 4/25th Ft. Richardson, AK. The course
provides 45 EMS CEUs which is acceptable to the National Registry of
EMTs for recertification hours. Police officers are eligible to
receive POST certification of training hours. Several Offices of
Homeland Security have approved HS grants to be utilized for
Tactical Medic training provided by Rescue Training Inc./ Trinity
Training and Consulting Inc.
